Prepare your popcorn because this weekend is going to be another great one before the Thanksgiving break. This is your weekly event preview guide. . .
#6 Cornell vs #13 Wisconsin
When: Saturday, 1pm EST
How to Watch: ESPN+
There won't be many bonus point opportunities in this dual meet, as it's neck and neck at nearly every weight. Cornell can really take leaps at 174 and 184 unless Wisconsin can put up a battle. Look forward to these matchups:
- 133. #3 Arujau (COR) vs #18 LaMont (WISC)
- 149. #1 Diakomihalis (COR) vs #3 Gomez (WISC)
- 165. #8 Ramirez (COR) vs #5 Hamiti (WISC)
The Badgers will fight hard, but Big Red comes out on top 19-16.
#4 Ohio State vs #17 North Carolina
When: Sunday, Noon EST
How to Watch: ESPN+
This dual would be more fun if Zach Sherman and Austin O'Connor were wrestling, but they haven't been in the lineup yet. Don't get confused at 133 with Joey Melendez (UNC) vs Jesse Mendez (OSU).
The match of the night is 141: #25 Lachlan McNeil (UNC) vs #7 Dylan D'Emilio (OSU).
The Buckeyes win with a large 20 point margin.
When: Sunday, All Day
How to Watch: FloWrestling
25+ ranked wrestlers will compete in Philadelphia this weekend. I'll be watching 133 to see if Sam Latona (TECH) can defeat Michael Colaiocco (PENN).
But, the most important weight to watch is 149. It has already been crazy and full of upsets so far, and there could be more chaos this weekend. Here's a look at the 149 lbs field:
- #5 Jon Millner (APP)
- #9 Doug Zapf (PENN)
- #12 Caleb Henson (TECH)
- #19 Quinn Kinner (RID)
Millner is tough. I think he wins the weight, but Henson will challenge him.
