Did you get a chance to check out the official brackets for the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships, Reader?

If so, reply to this email and let me know your initial thoughts.

Here are a few seedings that I'm confused about. . .

video preview

#5 Austin DeSanto (133)

Seriously? DeSanto has 10 tech falls and his only losses are to #1 RBY and #2 Daton Fix. Now that he is #5, he'll likely meet RBY in the semis.

#9 Mikey Labriola (174)

Labriola may have a few losses (19-4 record), but he also has a win over Iowa's Michael Kemerer, who received the #5 seed. Should he make the quarters, he will likely face#1 Carter Starocci.

#3 Trent Hidlay (184)

I get it, Hidlay lost to #2 Brooks; but, that was last season. This year he is the only undefeated wrestler at the weight. Now he and Brooks may have to duke it out in the semis, a rematch of the 2021 finals.
